Description
Unforeseen circumstances sometimes result in patients being admitted unexpectedly or running out of clean clothes during their stay in hospital. This can be due to staying in for longer than expected, limited access to washing facilities, distance from home making it hard for visitors to supply clean clothes and spillages of body fluids making clothes unwearable. Beatson Cancer Charity provides packs of clothing which are essential to some patients to reduce the need for hospital gowns and prevent possible embarrassment and potential loss of dignity.
